QPR: 5 Reasons Why R's Will Definitely Get Relegated

1. Bad Defending

Chris Samba The age old problem for teams battling relegation is invariably that their defence is probably the weakest part of the team and QPR are no different. Their awful kamikaze defensive display in the first half against Fulham was staggering to watch as their defence pretty much beat themselves and handed Fulham the 3 points before the match was even 20 minutes old. Júlio César has had some great games this season looking as good as ever producing some jaw dropping saves in other games however his age has caught up to him producing some real howlers and mental lapses. The number 2 Rob Green made a string of mistakes and flaps at easy saves during the first few games of the season showing the same form he used to show in an England shirt and that has reduced him to sitting on the bench for most of the year. Their array of full backs are all fast paced and attacking minded with all three coming from top 3 teams and on paper there is no way the QPR defence should be so bad. Sadly reputation counts for nothing, and this year José Bosingwa, Armand Traore and Fabio have been three of the worst examples of non-defending defenders. All three look deeply uncomfortable running back to goal and look very weak making any tackle or even standing in a flat back four. The centre of defence is no better: Ryan Nelson of course left in January to take a manager€™s job in Canada, Clint Hill is a decent defender with lots of heart and commitment, but he is a Championship level centre back. And then there's Chris Samba, who stresses we mustn't ever criticise his fees or wages, so we won't. But I will say that he is a large block of a man who can head the ball and bully strikers around, but sadly that€™s about it. Everything else he does tends to be in slow motion and he has a turning circle like a forklift truck. As a team, QPR are broken from the front to the back, and I can't see anything but relegation in their near future. Do you agree? Are QPR doomed who else will go down this season? Comment below.
