Speaking of Kris Boyd, it's often forgotten that he is- without a doubt- the most lethal goalscorer ever in the Scottish Premier League. After moving from Kilmarnock in 2006, he was at the height of his poaching powers for Rangers until he eventually left in 2010.

From 2002 through to 2010 his goals per season never dropped below 10 and his 5 goal glut against Dundee United in 2009 took him past Henrik Larsson and made him the all time leading goalscorer in the SPL, ending up with 167 goals (although a few of those came during a second spell with Kilmarnock).

Boyd went on to enjoy unhappy spells with Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, Eskişehirspor and Portland Timbers before returning to Scotland with Kilmarnock in 2013. He signed for Rangers for the 2014/15 season but had little impact before being released this summer.
