Rangers Transfers: 9 New Signings Fans Should Be Excited For

8. Eduardo Herrera

According to The Sun, Mexican striker Eduardo Herrera has been granted a work permit and is expected to confirm his 3-year deal with Rangers imminently. One look at the burly centre forward's imposing physical size makes it obvious he has all the tools to succeed in Scotland.

For a big man, current forward Martyn Waghorn has been shoved off the ball one too many times by small players during his Ibrox spell. That has left Gers fans scratching their heads, because Waghorn has muscles in places most could only dream about. Perhaps Herrera is the answer to fan prayers for a genuine target man.

One criticism of Rangers in recent seasons has been the club's inability to score from corners or crosses. Ageing defender Clint Hill provided a brief solution last term, but the side are in dire need of someone with height to convert balls into the box. Herrera's 6ft 2 inch frame could be just the ticket.
