Ranking Chelsea’s Premier League Goalkeepers – Worst to Best

5. Dmitri Kharine

Chelsea Career: 1992-1999, 146 appearances. Russian Kharine impressed during the first half of his Chelsea career, supporting the team of 1993/94 to an FA Cup Final against Manchester United. Despite conceding four goals in a loss to United, he found himself as first choice. The following season Kharine guided the team to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup WInners' Cup, and although he wasn't fit to play in the final, he was a part of the side that won the FA Cup against Middlesbrough in 1997. Present in an era of Chelsea history very much different to the current side, the success Kharine experienced with the club is testament in part to his ability between the sticks. The Blues of the 90s were a more average side, with those in goal under more pressure than the likes of Courtois this season.
