Ranking Chelsea’s Premier League Goalkeepers – Worst to Best

6. Henrique Hilario

Chelsea Career: 2006-2014, 39 appearances. The Portuguese keeper arrived at Chelsea in 2006, joining Jose Mourinho, whom he played under for a brief spell during his time at Porto. Despite coming in as third choice, he rose in the pecking order above Cudicini and Cech after both were injured in the same match against Reading, holding the position for an extended period. His Chelsea debut came in a Champions League fixture against Barcelona at Stamford Bridge, keeping a clean sheet in 1-0 victory. A Premier League debut followed days later when he lined up against Portsmouth, and conceded his first goal in a 2-1 win. The one-cap Portugal international performed well when called upon, giving Chelsea a solid option in light of injury to two senior goalkeepers.
