Ranking Chelsea’s Premier League Goalkeepers – Worst to Best
3. Ed de Goey
Chelsea Career: 1997-2003, 179 appearances. Ed was one of Chelsea's most prominent goalkeepers of the Premier League era before Abramovich's arrival changed the genetics of the club completely. Transferring from Feyenoord in 1997, the Dutch international became Chelsea's primary keeper and held the spot until Carlo Cudicini eventually displaced him. In the 1999/00 season he won the FA Cup - his third major trophy with the club - and broke the records for most appearances and clean sheets along the way. Despite Frank Lampard and Petr Cech surpassing his records, de Goey turned in brilliant performances for Chelsea before his departure to Stoke City.
An admiration for the arrogant personalities in football. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Simeone, even Joey Barton. If you were to ask who I'd rather have in my team, Messi or Ronaldo? The latter.
