Ranking Sunderland's Premier League Home Kits - From Worst To Best
8. 2008-09
Djibril Cisse could wear anything, literally anything, and he'd still ooze cool. The flamboyant Frenchman even opened his own boutique store in Durham during his spell on Wearside. While you wouldn't find that season's Sunderland kit on his shelves, it was certainly a very nice kit from Umbro. They stuck to the simple red and white formula, but the two black 'swooshes' on either shoulder immeasurably improved the kit, adding a modern twist and separating it from the others. Again, Umbro did a fine job with the shirt, but the sponsor let it down.
