Ranking The Best Football Transfers In Europe During Summer 2019/20
27. Lucas Hernandez - Bayern Munich
The Bayern Munich rebuild continues, this time with a new left back in Lucas Hernandez. The former Atletico Madrid man has been brought in to challenge David Alaba for the left back position or allow the Swiss international the opportunity to move into the centre of midfield.
However, the 2018/19 Bundesliga champions haven't downgraded their defence just to strengthen their midfield. In fact, Hernandez is a fantastic defender who is able to do everything required of a modern day full-back. After being a mainstay in the defensively reliable Atletico side, he's proven that he can handle quick wingers and that he's got great positional awareness.
He's also not too shabby when he's attacking the opposing side, but he'll need to add more assists to his game if he's going to be a guaranteed starter in the Bayern team. Although they've already got a frightening attack, Hernandez will also need to help out with runs down the left flank. If he can do that then Bayern might return to their former glory as a force in European football.
