It'd take a significant amount of investment to prize the soft-spoken Argentinian away from North London, but Mauricio Pochettino is an option for Real. Money has never been a barrier for the club before anyway, and it wouldn't bother them that Spurs just recently sealed a deal to keep their manager for the next five years.

When Madrid come calling, there's a major decision to be made, new contract or not.

The main problem with Poch is that he's more of a long-term project, and that's not something Real typically enjoy. They want success and they want it now, so Mauricio's talk of playing good football over winning trophies at Spurs is hardly attractive. Still, he's an ambitious young manager who has his best years ahead of him.

It's going to take working at a club with a winning culture to bring the best out in Pochettino. Could that be Real? Why not? BetVictor seem to think there's a chance too, because they've slapped 8/1 odds on the Spurs boss trading the Premier League for a crack at one of the world's biggest jobs.
