Real Madrid Transfers: 5 Players They Must Sign

3. Christian Eriksen (Spurs)

After splashing out big on Chelsea's Eden Hazard this summer, Real Madrid are now desperately trying to offload Gareth Bale in order to free up some significant transfer funds.

What makes Christian Eriksen such a great option for Los Blancos - in addition to his creative genius, of course - is that he's now in the final year of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs' Daniel Levy is notoriously eager to maximise finances whenever possible, and logic would dictate that Levy would be more open to cashing-in on Eriksen now rather than lose him for £0 next summer.

With Marcos Asensio out injured for the next few months and Zidane seemingly keen to get rid of Isco, that leaves Real Madrid in even bigger need for a creative midfield spark.

Clearly, Christian Eriksen has that defence-spitting art down to a tee, with him rightly viewed as one of the best playmakers on the planet.

Having come through the famed Ajax academy, the Dane is as technically sound as anybody currently on Real's books, and he brings goals, assists, and some stunning set piece delivery to any team he's a part of.

According to reports, Spurs would be looking to get £65 million for Eriksen - yet the less time remaining on his contract, the less bargaining power Tottenham have in any such negotiations.
