Real Madrid Transfers: 5 Players They Must Sign
1. Miralem Pjanic (Juventus)
Since joining Italy's Old Lady in 2016, Miralem Pjanic has often been used as a deep-sitting playmaker as opposed to the more attacking, advanced midfield role the Bosnia international took up for Lyon and Roma.
With those rumours of 33-year-old Luka Modric moving to Italy refusing to go away, Real Madrid should rightly be looking at Pjanic as an ideal replacement should Modric indeed depart the Bernabeu.
For Pjanic's club Juventus, they may see the midfielder as a sell-able asset as they look to raise funds. After all, this is a club that is still financially hamstrung by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.
Throw into the mix that Juve have been constantly linked to Real's Marcelo, and some sort of compromise agreement may be able to be agreed upon by both clubs.
Either way, Pjanic could be brilliant at Los Blancos - his attacking guile offering plenty as a number 10, while his skillset also means he's fantastic in a deeper role to dictate play and direct traffic.
