Ryan Giggs: 10 Greatest Moments At Man Utd

2. Leading United Out As Interim Manager

Despite making a record 963 appearances, arguably one of Ryan Giggs's finest Manchester United moments actually came off the field of play. David Moyes had just a week ago been sacked after overseeing United's worst Premier League campaign on record and in scenes that could have been scripted by Hollywood, Ryan Giggs was named interim manager. His first order of protocol was to oversee a home game against Norwich City, and the sight of the midfielder leading the team out of the tunnel, clad in a suit rather than a jersey, instantly restored faith among fans who had watched their side slump through their worst Premier League campaign on record. Giggs would later reflect on this moment as being the proudest moment of his life as his side ran out 4-0 winners. This probably won't be the last time we see the Welshman in a managerial capacity.
