Italy's top tier football action continued this weekend ahead of a very important international break with top sides facing off and some very big results across the league. Atalanta kicked off the weekends action with a 1-0 victory away at Chievo on Saturday. Moralez' goal in the 16th minute proved to be the difference in the end and helped Atalanta rise to 11th in the table, while Chievo sit 17th and a solitary point off the relegation places. In the first big game of the weekend, Roma continued their 100% start to the season with a 3-0 victory against Inter Milan after a solid first-half display. Totti opened the scoring after 18 minutes and added his second of the match from the penalty spot five minutes before half-time. A minute before the interval, Florenzi grabbed a goal and Inter couldn't fight back in the second half, leaving them 7 points off top spot. On Sunday, Juventus defeated AC Milan 3-2 to remain 2 points behind Roma. Muntari scored in the first and final minutes off the match for Milan but between that Pirlo, Giovinco and Chiellini scored the goals that won the match. It leaves Milan in 12th place with just 8 points, a disappointing start which they will be hoping they can turn around soon. Napoli remained second in the league after defeating mid-table Livorno 4-0. Pandev opened the scoring after just 4 minutes and Inler doubled the advantage twenty minutes later. In the second half, Callejon and Hamsik found the net to give the side from Naples a comfortable advantage. Parma defeated bottom of the table Sassuolo, leaving the visitors still searching for their first victory of the season. Palladino opened the scoring for Parma before Berardi pulled the visitors level from the penalty spot. However, goals from Rosi and Cassano gave Param the 3 points and left them in mid-table. High-flying Verona secured another victory after they defeated struggling Bologna 4-1. The visitors raced into the lead with goals from Cacciatore and Iturbe before Diamanti pulled one back for Bologna in the second half. Toni and a late Jorginho strike condemned Bologna to another defeat, as they still search for that elusive first win. Another side looking for their first win of the season was Sampdoria but they couldn't find it this weekend either. They were held to a 2-2 draw by Torino. Sansome put the hosts ahead before the interval but Immobile equalised. Torino then took the lead with a 76th minute penalty from Cerci and it was left to Eder to equalise from the penalty spot late on, which he did. Catania and Genoa played out a 1-1 draw with Barrientos scoring for the hosts but unfortunately an own-goal from Legrottaglie late on gave Genoa a point, as both sides now sit with a 5 points total. Udinese moved up to 8th after their 2-0 victory against Cagliari, with Danilo and Di Natale on the scoresheet. Elsewhere, Lazio and Fiorentina drew 0-0, leaving the sides 6th and 7th in the table respectably. There were no games on Monday night due to the international break.
