7. Moussa Sissoko - 6.5 (Replaced By Mehdi Abeid After 79 Minutes)

Sissoko started the match like a freight train but he, like most of the Newcastle team, disappeared in prominence from the 20th minute onwards. Determined to run with the ball at every possible opportunity in the opening quarter of the match, Sissoko played a part in the build-up to Papiss Cisse's effort that hit the post after only 90 seconds, and he caused Kieron Freeman problems early on. Not enough of a threat after the opening 20 minutes though.

Mehdi Abeid - 6

Did absolutely nothing of note either offensively of defensively after replacing Sissoko in the 79th minute. It must be stated, however, that he looked far better in possession than he has done recently - and he did not give the ball away like he is sometimes prone to doing.
