Colchester United
Manager: Joe Dunne
Key Player: Sanchez Watt
Predicted Finish: 19th Following a tough relegation battle last season Im expecting more of the same from Colchester this time around. The most notable player in the Colchester squad is former Arsenal winger Sanchez Watt; a player who gets fans of their seats, and anyone who has seen him play will no just how deadly he can be for them. Getting the best out of him and other notable players like Freddie Sears, Clinton Morrison and midfielder Craig Eastmond will be the key for the Us this year. Expect them to battle bravely against the drop again once again.
Coventry City
Manager: Steven Pressley
Key Player: John Fleck
Predicted finish: 15th Its been a tough few years to be a Coventry City fan. Relegation from the Championship two years ago has been followed by a number of off-field problems including most notably their move away from the Ricoh Arena to Northamptons Sixfields stadium this summer. The team and the fans are no doubt going to struggle to adapt to this change and I cant see a top half finish for The Sky Blues this season. They still have some quality in the squad and young right back Cyrus Christie managed to turn a few heads last season. The experience of players like John Fleck will be crucial to Coventry this year and if things continue to get worse they could even find themselves in a battle at the wrong end of the table.
Crawley Town
Manager: Richie Barker
Key Player: Kyle McFadzean Predicted Finish: 10th Crawley Town marked their League One debut last year with a brilliant season. A 10th place finish was more than most fans would have been hoping for and at one point they looked as though they could even mount a play off challenge. Richie Barker has made a positive impact at the club and whilst they may have missed out on some signings at the hands of former manager Steve Evans at Rotherham the club will not be deterred. Expect the West Sussex club to continue surprising people this campaign with another solid season that could build on last years. The return of full fitness of key player Kyle McFadzean will feel like a new signing and if he can replicate his form from the first half of last season the club will get on just fine.
