SkyBet League One Preview - Predicting How All Teams Will Finish This Season

Crewe

Gresty_Road,_CreweManager: Steve Davis Key Player: Abdul Osman Predicted Finish: 20th Crewe were one of the surprise packages of last season, their 13th placed finish and their Johnstone Paints Trophy victory certainly turned a few heads however things are not looking so good coming into this campaign. Shrouded in controversy after several players were arrested over the summer and having also lost some key players Crewe will be looking once again to rely on some younger, inexperienced players. Steve Davis has been somewhat of a revelation however and providing the club can manage to keep hold of him I think he may be able to keep them in the division this year, just.

Gillingham

gillinghamManager: Martin Allen Key Player: Cody McDonald Predicted Finish: 11th Martin Allen has proven to be a revelation at Priestfield since his arrival just over a year ago and their unforgettable title winning performance last year will certainly have the Gills faithful expecting another successful campaign this time around. The return of fan favourite Cody McDonald will have excited fans his partnership with fellow new signings Adebayo Akinfenwa could prove to be one of the most dangerous in the division. Whilst I don€™t think Gillingham have enough fire in the tank to maintain a successful play off challenge most fans will see this as a very real possibility and I think the Gills could certainly surprise a few this season.

Leyton Orient

leyton 2Manager: Russell Slade Key Player: Moses Adubajo Predicted Finish: 14th Leyton Orient surprised everyone in the division last year with an unannounced push for the play offs at the back of the campaign. Finishing 7th after many had tipped them for relegation will certainly give them high hopes for the campaign. The success of Yeovil last season showed that anyone can achieve promotion from League One however I don€™t think Orient will be able to emulate their form from last season this year. They have made some great additions to the squad over the summer and I don€™t think they will have to have their annual relegation worries this time around, however I don€™t think they will manage to fight with the bigger teams at the top end of the table either.

MK Dons

mk dons 2Manager: Karl Robinson Key Player: Luke Chadwick Predicted Finish: 6th Karl Robinson€™s MK Dons team looked certain for a play off spot last season until things all went wrong and a run of poor form in the second half of the season cost them dearly. How did this happen? The injuries to play maker Luke Chadwick certainly played a huge part in their downfall. The experienced midfielder is a key part of the MK team and if they can keep him fit for a full campaign then I think they may be able to achieve their target this season.
