A one-two victory at the Emilia-Romagna GP earlier in November ensured that Mercedes, in just their 11th season back in Formula One, broke the record for the most consecutive World Constructors' Championships.

Led by Lewis Hamilton, who has himself sent records tumbling, the team have exceeded the benchmark set by Ferrari in 2004 (albeit are still eight off Ferrari's all-time total). The sheer domination by Mercedes in Formula One's hybrid era has been staggering, the team achieving 89 Grand Prix wins from 121 starts between the 2014 and 2019 seasons and with plenty left to play for this season as well.

Big rule changes are expected in 2022 to try and make the field more competitive, but with such professionalism and talent at their disposal, it's an open question as to how long Mercedes' winning run might last.
