5. Lady Luck Smiling On Palace
While Palace's performances have, in general, been pretty poor since the turn of the year, they will have felt that luck has also deserted them during this testing period. Mistakes have been punished where before they got away with them and chances have gone the wrong side of the post where, earlier in the season, they fell in. In the first half of this game, Dele Alli had a shot that somehow managed to hit one post before rolling along the line and hitting the other before rolling back into the path of the grateful Joel Ward who hoofed it to safety. There's no doubt that would have gone in on any other day so, perhaps, Lady Luck is back in Palace's corner.
