Spurs' 10 Best Set-Piece Experts Of The Premier League Era
4. Christian Ziege
Time At Spurs: 2001-2004. Set-Piece Specialty: Direct Free Kicks. German international full back Christian Ziege had a devilish left foot on him and he put it to use a number of times in his three years at White Hart Lane. The most notable of his free kicks in a Spurs shirt was undoubtedly in a 2002 derby match with the club's bitter North London rivals Arsenal. From fully thirty yards out, the former Bayern Munich, Milan, Liverpool and Middlesbrough man struck a wonderful and powerful curled effort over the Arsenal wall and in to the top left hand corner of a helpless David Seaman's goal. The match would end 1-1, but that one free kick would ensure Ziege lived long in the memory of Spurs fans.
