4. Emmanuel Adebayor
Last season Emmanuel Adebayor was one of the first names on the teamsheet after scoring 17 times the season before but so much can change in a year. The Togolese forward is clearly out of favour at White Hart Lane and has not even been included in a matchday squad this season. With Jermain Defoe scoring freely in the Europa League and Roberto Soldado serving as manager Andre Villas-Boas' first choice forward, Adebayor has a fight on his hands to even reclaim a first team spot. Adebayor was poor in front of goal last season, scoring eight goals in thiry-four appearances, prompting Villas-Boas to invest in Soldado and seemingly put his faith in Harry Kane. The League Cup would give Adebayor a chance to recapture his goalscoring form, especially with a winnable tie against Hull to come, but it seems unlikely as AVB looks set to continue with Defoe as his cup striker and Soldado for the league.
