Spurs Transfer News: Gareth Bale In Confirmed Talks With Real Madrid

"I believe the club is in talks to find a solution and we will see what happens."
Bale's camp told the Spurs hierarchy at the weekend that he wants to speak to Real over a potential move to the Spanish capital this summer. However, it is understood that the Spaniard's are yet to make a formal offer for the double PFA Player of the Year. The 24-year-old returned to Spurs' training ground yesterday, undergoing treatment on the leg injury that has sidelined him from the Lilywhite's last two pre-season friendlies. Ancelotti, who has replaced Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu after leaving Paris Saint-Germain to take up the post, was pressed on the possibility of signing Bale this summer. He replied:
"It is difficult to talk about Bale because he is not a Real Madrid player at present. "I have never spoken to him. I do not usually talk to players who are not from my team and it would not be fair to do so."
The Italian did reveal however that former Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric would not be included in any potential package to snare Bale, as had been reported by tabloids recently.
"It is not true that Modric is going. He is a very important player for us and he will be here this season."
