Spurs Transfer News: Tottenham To Take Summer Spending Past £100 Million With Blockbuster Signings?

Mirror. Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas will break the club's transfer record for the third time in a matter of weeks by landing Anzhi's £30 million-rated Willian, and could even spend again. The Brazilian playmaker is reportedly in London ahead of a medical and could be joined at White Hart Lane by Roma's Erik Lamela. Tottenham have stepped up talks with the Italians over their £29 million-rated Argentinian forward, and, astonishingly, it doesn't stop there. Villas-Boas also wants Ajax's Toby Alderweireld, with the defender going into the final year of his contract at the Amsterdam Arena. Spurs are also looking at his teammate Christian Eriksen, with the midfielder also entering the last 12 months of his current deal. Highly-rated young winger Todor Nedelev of Botev Plovdiv is also on the radar of the free-spending London club, who have already spent almost £60 million on new recruits as it is. Striker Roberto Soldado has arrived from Valencia for £26 million, Paulinho has been signed from Corinthians for £17 million, another £9 million has been spent on Toulouse's ‰tienne Capoue while a further £7 million was forked out on FC Twente's Nacer Chadli. The moves come ahead of Gareth Bale's imminent sale to Real Madrid, who are expected to pay £93 million for the Wales international.
