Spurs Transfers: 10 DREAM Signings Tim Sherwood Could Make

8. Toby Alderweireld (Ajax)

With Younès Kaboul still struggling with the knee and thigh injuries that has seen him play just two Premier League games since the end of the 2011-12 season, and Michael Dawson putting in a series of inconsistent performances this term, a new centre-back wouldn't go amiss either this week. And one surprise option is Toby Alderweireld, who Spurs were chasing last summer while the Belgian was at Ajax. Alderweireld joined Spanish side Atletico Madrid instead, though the move has not worked out and the defender has recently been offered to Napoli. The centre-half has played in just 10 of Atletico's 30 matches since making the move and the 24-year-old recently spoke of his dissatisfaction at the situation. And now, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have been given a fresh chance to sign the defender, and Spurs are understood to have retained an interest.
