Spurs Transfers: 11 Signings Mauricio Pochettino Must Make Immediately
9. Dejan Lovren
Current Club: Southampton With Jan Vertonghen reportedly unhappy at Spurs, Younes Kaboul extremely injury prone, Michael Dawson not necessarily possessing the quality Spurs are looking for going forward and Vlad Chiriches yet to truly impress, the centre back position should be one that Spurs seek to improve. Mauricio Pochettino signed Dejan Lovren for Southampton last summer in an £8.5 million deal from French club Lyon and the Croatian defender has impressed in the Premier League ever since. Although he spent several weeks out from January with an ankle injury, the 23 cap man has been a key figure in Southampton's impressive season. He has attracted attention from both Liverpool and Manchester United and, should Pochettino join Spurs as expected, he should become an obvious and key target to shore up Tottenham's defence. Spurs need stability at the back and a player who isn't going to be constantly fluttering between the pitch, the bench and the medical room. Lovren could be the man to aid them in that regard.
