Spurs Transfers: 5 Alternatives To David Villa

5. Lisandro Lopez

Argentinian striker Lisandro Lopez could be on the move this summer after telling current club Lyon that he wants to call time on his four-year stay. Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has been a long-term admirer of the 30-year-old and could have an unobstructed path to signing the striker with the player insisting he wants to quit the Ligue 1 outfit. Lopez would likely come cheap as well, given his age and also due to the fact his contract at the Stade de Gerland only has one more year left to run. Reports suggesting the French side would accept a bid in the region of £5 million, which makes the forward an attractive option due to his affordability. Lyon are keen to get him off their books after he had a row with manager Remi Garde. The former Porto star has netted an impressive 82 goals in 166 overall appearances in Ligue 1.
