1. Burak Yilmaz
Finally, if Villas-Boas is unprepared to pay the £26 million it would take to land Soldado, the former Chelsea manager could instead make a bid for Galatasaray's Burak Yilmaz instead. Spurs are willing to part with £17 million for the Turkey international, according to the
, but could face competition from Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina as well as English rivals
Chelsea and Liverpool. Yilmaz is hot property at present off the back of two goal-laden seasons. The 28-year-old netted an incredible 33 goals in 34 games at Trabzonspor in 2011/12 before signing for Galatasaray later that summer. He has been in similarly unstoppable form at Gala, too, finding the back of the net 24 times in 30 appearances last season as well as scoring 8 goals in 9 Champions League outings. It was those performances in Europa in particular that have helped establish Yilmaz as one of European football's most sought-after stars, and Tottenham would certainly not be short of rivals should they follow up their interest with a serious offer.
