2. Leandro Damiao
Spurs appeared to
abandon their pursuit of the Internacional striker earlier this month, with Villas-Boas instead targeting David Villa. The Portuguese boss became frustrated with Internacional during negotiations for Damiao, with the Brazilian outfit continuing to demand £21 million for the striker. Villas-Boas then switched his attentions to Villa, who is now at Atletico Madrid. Having missed out on the former Barcelona forward, and with Soldado set to cost £26 million, Damiao could be back on Spur's radar. The South American is £5 million cheaper than Soldado and at just 23 is 5 years younger, too. Spurs have a long-term interest in Damiao and came close to signing him in the January transfer window, but
failed with a deadline-day bid of £13 million.
