Spurs Transfers: 5 Deals Tottenham Will Regret

1. Stacking The Midfield

Christian Eriksen Don't get me wrong, as individuals, Spurs shouldn't regret bringing in any of their new midfielders or wingers - Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Etienne Capoue, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen are all top players - but given the sheer number of them, and given that Spurs already had the likes of Mousa Dembele, Sandro, Aaron Lennon, Andros Townsend, Lewis Holtby and Gylfi Sigurdsson at the club, Andre Villas-Boas may have a very hard time keeping all of them satisfied with their playing time. If Spurs challenge on all fronts - in the Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Europa League - they may find that there are enough minutes to be played to keep all of these players happy. If they don't, some of these players will find their playing time restricted and will either be sat on the bench or not named in the matchday squads at all - and that will bring disharmony to White Hart Lane.
