Spurs Transfers: 5 Key Summer Signings To Crack The Top 4

1. Leandro Damiao

Damio Spurs have been linked with Internacional's highly rated Leandro Damiao for a while now and came close to signing him in the January transfer window, but failed with a dramatic deadline day bid for the Brazilian. Andre Villas-Boas is known to be a keen admirer of the Samba star, who has been quite prolific in South America down the years. He has scored 82 times in 142 appearances for Brazilian giants Internacional and has a number of admirers including Serie A side Napoli. However, the Italians appear to have blown their chances of signing him by contacting the player's representatives before getting in touch with his club's president Giovanni Luigi, as is customary. This led to an angry response from Luigi, who blasted:
€œIf a club want a player, they must talk to the president of the club at which that particular player plays, and not just deal with the agent €“ that is not correct behaviour. €œRecently we talked with Tottenham, Leandro is very likely to play games in England in the coming year. On the other hand we can exclude Napoli.€
That would then seem to make Spurs favourites to land the Brazilian. Who do you think Tottenham should sign this summer? Let us know in the comment section, below.
