4. Leighton Baines
Strongly tipped to join up with his former Everton manager David Moyes at Manchester United, Baines would be a top class acquisition at White Hart Lane should that potential move fall through. Currently giving Ashley Cole a genuine rival for an England starting birth for the first time in the Chelsea man's long career, the former Wigan Athletic man has been Everton's best performer for the past few seasons since joining in 2007 for around
£5m. A strong defender with a wicked left foot and a talent for scoring spectacular set pieces, Baines would command a fee upwards of £15m from any potential suitors (Manchester United have reportedly had a
£12m bid rejected already). This fee, however, would ensure that his new employers have one of the best left backs in the Premier League - and indeed in Europe - at their disposal, as well as a genuine goal threat from set pieces. Baines could give Spurs' Welsh superstar Gareth Bale a rival on the free kick front at White Hart Lane.
