1. Alberto de la Bella
Real Sociedad's Alberto de la Bella has emerged as a surprise front-runner for the left back birth in AVB's new look Spurs team. The 27 year old left back is uncapped, aside from 1 cap for the autonomous communities of Catalonia (which, let's be honest, doesn't really count), and has had a tough time establishing himself as a top class professional, but has recently began to flourish. Aside from a spell at lowly UDA Gramenet, de la Bella spent his entire career playing B-team and reserve team football before joining Sociedad in 2009. He was a permanent fixture in the Sociedad first team last season, as they qualified the UEFA Champions League in a highly successful season for the club. His performances attracted Spurs' attention as they reportedly courted his team-mate Antoine Griezmann. Spurs are rumoured to have had
a bid of £3m rejected already by Real Sociedad but are expected to return with a higher bid for a player who looks to have a cultured left foot and could represent a bargain at even twice the price of the initial bid.
Who do you think Spurs should sign for the left back position in their team? Should they stick with Assou-Ekotto? Have your say in the comments box below.
