Spurs Transfers: Lilywhites To Reignite Guarin Interest?

Inter Milan make Colombian available for £14 million.

Inter Milan have reportedly made their Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin available for transfer for £14 million. The 51 cap man, who has been at the San Siro since 2012 - when he initially joined from Porto on loan before signing permanently for ‚11 million - is deemed surplus to requirements at the club and they are considering not even registering him for their Europa League squad. Guarin has been a long-term target of Tottenham Hotspur and it is believed that they would be at the front of the queue if the rumours of him being available for transfer are definitely true. However, they would reportedly face rival interest from Juventus and Manchester United - the latter of whom only view Guarin as a potential back-up option if their move for Arturo Vidal fails and the former whom could potentially see him as Vidal's replacement. The likes of Rubin Kazan, Dynamo Moscow and Wolfsburg have also been credited with an interest, but Spurs would not see them as major competition. Spurs have been linked with a number of wingers and play-makers this summer - the likes of Memphis Depay, Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez, Antoine Griezmann and Julian Draxler to name but a few - and Guarin can play in both roles so it would make sense for Mauricio Pochettino to make a move for him if that's the kind of player he's looking for. Guarin was selected by Colombia's national coach Jose Pekerman for his 2014 FIFA World Cup squad this summer and he played three times in the competition. Do you think Fredy Guarin is a good option for Spurs? How likely would the player be to move to White Hart Lane if the Lilywhites make a bid?
