9. Dejan Lovren - Southampton (Centre Back)

Jan Vertonghen is undoubtedly a great player, but with Michael Dawson surplus to requirements and set to move on, Vlad Chiriches regarded as an unfinished article and Younes Kaboul troubled with persistent injuries, Vertonghen needs a permanent partner. Mauricio Pochettino's departure from Southampton to Spurs has inevitably resulted in a number of players from St. Mary's being linked to White Hart Lane and
Dejan Lovren is one of them - and he could be that partner for Vertonghen. This is another of the rumours that makes sense, but nothing concrete has happened yet regarding the move. Lovren is a top defender who has reportedly attracted interest from a number of clubs - including Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United - so Spurs would likely have competition for his signature. It would be worth it, however, to fix the problem at the club.
