Spurs Willing To Listen To Any Lewis Holtby Offers
The German international could leave White Hart Lane this summer.
The Daily Mail believe that Tottenham Hotspur are willing to listen to offers for their German international midfielder Lewis Holtby. The Former Schalke 04 man, who has earned three caps for Germany since making his international debut in 2010 and is an energetic and creative box-to-box engine room-type player, was loaned out to Fulham towards the end of last season as Tim Sherwood seemed unimpressed by him, but it was thought that new boss Mauricio Pochettino had seen enough of Holtby to want him as part of his plans - indeed, the Argentinian gave the midfielder the last half hour against West Ham United in the Premier League opener on Saturday and he was a prominent player in Spurs' pre-season schedule. However, it is now believed that Pochettino actually wants to trim the squad and that Holtby will be part of a last-minute fire sale that could see him heading through the exit door before the September the 1st transfer deadline. If reports are to be believed, Spurs won't be short of offers for the midfielder, with fellow Premier League sides Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palace and Leicester City all believed to have shown an interest in him. Holtby has made 25 Premier League appearances for Spurs - 15 of which have come from the bench - and he has scored one league goal for the club.
