1. Julio Cesar
The Brazilian No.1 made the astonishing move to Queens Park Rangers last summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by Inter Milan, but looks unlikely to stick around following the Hoop's relegation, with the Champions League winner unwilling to ply his trade in the Championship and the lower reaches of English football. Twice named Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year in 200809 and again in 200910, and also a winner of the UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year Award, Cesar is still world class and a permanent fixture between the sticks at international level for Brazil. But with his country hosting next summer's World Cup, he's going to have to leave if he is to remain in Luiz Felipe Scolari's plans because he probably doesn't get around to watching much Championship football. Cesar would be a terrific addition to the Sunderland side and a more-than-capable replacement for Simon Mignolet. His current situation at Loftus Road is virtually an open invitation for Paolo Di Canio to make him an offer, while the Hoops wouldn't hold out too much hope of raking in a big fee despite signing him last season, with the club desperate to lighten their enormous wage bill.
