Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping it won't be a case of festive deja vu as his side face QPR at the Liberty Stadium today, a team which they lost to 4-0 on Boxing Day last year. Both teams will no doubt be looking to secure three points in what could be a very important match determining their pre new year league positions. QPR sit only 2 points, and 1 position, off 15th placed Swansea but a victory for either team would provide them a much safer outlook for 2012. After being seemingly pipped by Everton regarding the interest of Northern Irish up and coming hot shot Rory Donnelly, Brendan Rodgers will be looking to his forward line to find the target today. Goals have been hard to come by for Swansea with only Wigan Athletic offering a lower goal tally than the Welsh team. However it is at the Liberty Stadium where Swansea pick up their most points. In fact 15 of their 18 points have come from home as they remain to sport the worst away record in the football league, but Rodgers' men will remain focused on maintaining their excellent home record today. And that is the challenge that QPR face, one of the meanest home defences in the league. Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm has the highest number of clean sheets in the Premier League thus far, 8, an astounding statistic for a promoted team. Vorm has contributed to a defensive effort that has only let two goals slip by him at the Liberty Stadium this season, something that only Barcelona can better and Udinese can match
