Match Preview
For both these sides, the season has fizzled out. Swansea are all-but assured a spot in the top half of the Premier League while Manchester City, having already surrendered their title, are playing for nothing more than pride. With an FA Cup Final against Wigan coming up in a week, Roberto Mancini's side may well already have one eye on that fixture, not that the deposed champions should underestimate Swansea. In this reverse fixture City prevailed in a narrow 1-0 win in what was the longest game in Premier League history. Injuries to Swans goalkeeper Michel Vorm and Blues defender Micah Richards resulted in 12 minutes of extra time, and neither of these two sides will be hoping for a repeat on Saturday, as their already slow, inevitable seasons draw to a dull conclusion.
