1. David Moyes vs Michael Laudrup
It is imperative in his first Premier League match in charge of United that former Everton boss Moyes gets a good performance - and, preferably for United, a win - at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday. Despite a
convincing win against Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield, there are lingering doubts amongst Red Devils and rival fans alike that United can mount a decent title charge; both the manager and his players will want to dispel any such thoughts as emphatically as possible and get their title defence up and running. Michael Laudrup, on the other hand, has just come off the back of a remarkable season in charge of Swansea, guiding them to a ninth-place finish in the league and
winning the League Cup on the way. The likeable Dane is understandably under less pressure than his United counterpart, and United will undoubtedly be favourites to win Saturday's late kick-off. However, Laudrup will expect his charges to come flying out of the blocks and get their own season off to the best possible start, especially with the extra Europa League fixtures congesting an already busy calendar.
