Quickly becoming one of the biggest names in the sport, Golovkin has the highest knockout ratio of any current world champion at a whopping 89.66%. The Kazakhstani fights at middleweight and holds both the IBO and WBA titles in that division, but he has already suggested he is happy to step up to super middleweight in the future. At 510.5 he is certainly big enough to compete in that weight class and he has shown time and again that he has the punching power to do it. This one has similar problems to the potential Kovalev fight, though. Whilst it would be a thriller, your average sports fan would not get excited about a man from Kazakhstan that most have never heard of. Whilst the boxing community would be extremely keen to see this, it would not break the mainstream enough to make the mega-money Froch is now after. Similarly to Kovalev, it is also an extremely dangerous fight given how hard Golovkin hits. This one seems unlikely at this stage.
