6. Andrew Symonds' Hitting Streak
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=706552WGY5M Renowned for his big hitting, Aussie all-rounder Andrew Symonds made a different type of connection when he decked a streaking fan at the Gabba in 2008. In an ODI versus India at Brisbane with the Aussies struggling at 34-3, a foolish pitch invader interrupted a Sreesanth over and soon found himself laid-out and mobbed by security after being flattened by a strong shoulder from the big England-born Queenslander. Symonds, a man who is no stranger to controversy - he turned up drunk to an ODI versus Bangladesh in 2005, went fishing rather than attending a team meeting in 2008 and once attended a contract meeting with Cricket Australia's CEO while barefoot and wearing a cowboy hat - was not reprimanded for the incident while the streaker on the other hand, 26-year-old James Ogilvie, received a fine of AUS$1500 (approximately £725 at the time) yet by all accounts fully enjoyed his moment: "It was great actually... just like playing football. "You only live once, don't you?"
