4. Kenwyne Jones
Another option for Clarke is Stoke City's forgotten man Kenwyne Jones. Jones has only played nine minutes of football for the Potters this season and featured only 26 times in the Premier League last season after falling down the pecking order behind Peter Crouch and Jon Walters. The Trinidadian
has been on West Brom's radar this summer with Clarke knowing he can no longer rely on Odemwingie following his transfer deadline-day-madness back in January when he tried to force through a move to QPR. And the loss of Lukaku has also hit his forward line, which could be depleted further-still should Anelka retire. Jones could be a safe bet as a replacement if he can rediscover the form he enjoyed during his days at Sunderland, where he netted 26 times in 94 Premier League appearances. Stoke boss Mark Hughes is unlikely to stand in the way of his departure given the 28-year-old is now surplus to requirements.
