West Ham 1-3 Arsenal: Premier League Player Ratings

Arsenal came from behind to continue their excellent record against West Ham and reclaim the Premier League's top spot. Carlton Cole gave the Hammers the lead, but a brace from Theo Walcott and a Lukas Podolski strike turned things around.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce showed his disappointment with his team's defeat away at Manchester United by making four changes. Guy Demel, Modibo Maiga, Ravel Morrison and Matthew Taylor all made way as Carlton Cole, Joe Cole, skipper Kevin Nolan and Joey O'Brien came in.

The Gunners fielded ten of the same starting XI that played out a bore draw with Chelsea on Monday €“ a result which saw them lose top spot. Santi Cazorla replaced the injured Tomas Rosicky in the only alteration made by Arsene Wenger.

Defeat for West Ham saw them slip into the relegation zone because Crystal Palace won at Aston Villa and Fulham were victorious at Norwich. Three points for Arsenal ended their winless run which had stretched four matches. Should Liverpool beat Manchester City in the teatime game they will drop back to second.
