West Ham: 10 Reasons Andy Carroll Has Been A Waste Of Money

1. He Is Too Injury Prone

The biggest reason why Andy Carroll has been a waste of money is simple, he is just far too injury prone. Since joining the Hammers in 2012, Carroll has suffered six different injuries, all of which have kept him out of action for months at a time. The injuries have restricted him to playing just 53 league games in that time and by the end of the 2014/15 season he will have missed 58 league games since joining the club. He has accumulated three separate knee injuries, including the one that will sideline him for the rest of the season, while also suffering a serious heel injury and torn ankle ligaments, all of which have not only frustrated Carroll but the West Ham fans as well. While West Ham fans wait and see how long the road to recovery for his latest injury, they will hope that they can spend their money on someone who is less likely to have injuries on such a regular basis.
