To say Jol looked downbeat in the post match press conference would be an understatement. The Dutchman was clearly very upset with his side's performance, indeed his quiet tone echoed the lacklustre performance of his team. Fulham simply looked out of ideas during the 90 minutes, at no point did they have a foot hold in the game and they lacked the passion needed in such an important fixture. With only 10 points on the board Jol must be fearing for his job, especially with a new owner in place at Craven Cottage. The hiring of Rene Meulensteen as a coach also appears as though it may have been a transitional appointment. The former Manchester United coach is now engrained in the club and one would think he could easily slide across and replace Jol if needs be. Things do not get any easier for the Dutch boss as Fulham welcome his former club Tottenham on Wednesday, whether he is in charge for that game still remains to be seen.
