West Ham: 5 Managerial Replacements For Sam Allardyce

2. Malky Mackay

Malky Mackay earned all of our sympathies when he was cruelly and outrageously sacked by Cardiff City's tyrannical, madcap Malaysian owner Vincent Tan last month. The Scotsman's dismissal was farcical and dragged the Bluebird's reputation through the mud but Mackay may come out of it squeaky clean with an instant return to football management. Should Sam Allardyce get the chop, Mackay is the second favourite to take over, according to bookmakers. Mackay is credited with guiding Cardiff to the Championship tile in 2013 and with it promotion into the Premier League for the first time in the Welsh club's history. He was named LMA Championship Manager of the Year that season and his battling, dogged attitude, as displayed when he refused to resign in the face of Tan's quit or be sacked ultimatum, could be what the Hammer's need to get them out of the mire.
