West Ham: 5 Managerial Replacements For Sam Allardyce

3. Glenn Hoddle

Another name linked with the job is Glenn Hoddle. Hoddle hasn't managed a club since stepping down from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2006, but recently announced he was interested in returning to the game when a vacancy at his former club Tottenham opened. In the wake of Andre Villas-Boas' sacking as Spurs boss, Hoddle threw his name in the hat but lost out to Tim Sherwood, but may yet get his wish of a return to the topflight. A former England manager, Hoddle has a wealth of managerial experience having taken charge of the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham in the past, taking each to the FA Cup and League Cup finals during his respective stints in charge. He also took England to the World Cup second round in 1998 only to memorably lose to Argentina on penalties. Currently a football pundit for Sky Sports, Hoddle is considered third favourite for the Hammers job by some bookmakers.
