West Ham Transfer News: Hammers Close In On Loans For Two Italian Internationals

Premier League strugglers West Ham are in talks to loan Italy internationals Antonio Nocerino and Marco Borriello, according to Team Talk. AC Milan midfielder Nocerino has already agreed a temporary move to Upton Park while Boriello of AS Roma is also believed to be on the verge of joining the Hammers in a similar deal. Nocerino is expected in London today for a medical and Borriello could follow suit with the duo expected to finalise their loan moves to England. Nocerino, 28, has 15 caps for Italy and has also played for Juventus and Palermo, but has been deemed surplus to requirements at Milan this term under new manager Clarence Seedorf. Roma meanwhile are reluctant to see Borriello leave on a permanent deal but could sanction a loan switch for the forward as he needs regular football in a World Cup year. Italian rivals Genoa are also believed to be interested in the 31-year-old and could make attempts to keep him in Serie A, but Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is desperate to see the moves go through. Allardyce is determined to bolster his squad this month after his beleaguered troops crashed out of both cup competitions and into the Premier League relegation zone.
