However, the news has heated up today and West Ham are hopeful of completing the deal before the window slams shut later this evening at 11pm. The sticking point now, according to Sky Sports News is wages, but talks remain ongoing. One deal that has been completed, according to Sky Sports News is the loan deal for Pablo Armero from Napoli. The Italian club have confirmed that the ful-back has signed for the Londoners, despite Sam Allardyce's attempt to deflect attention from the player when interviewed on Sky Sports News.
