West Ham Transfers: 5 Strikers Needed To Avert Relegation

4. Elliot Lee

Although strictly this title infers that West Ham need to look elsewhere for the talented frontman to lift them from their current predicament, promoting from within can be an effective solution to the problem too. Having only made his debut from the bench during an FA Cup tie last season means that he will no doubt be rusty and might struggle to adapt to the circumstances to which he has been entrusted to help allay should he be required. Indeed, the only senior football he has had this season was a month's loan to Colchester, where he collected a goal from his four appearances, but perhaps Allardyce may decide to utilize him on the reasoning that he is currently part of a winning team. That winning team is the Hammers' U21 side who currently sit second behind Fulham. Having only lost once in the league so far, they are looking good to be in with a shout to qualify for the final stages and with Lee spearheading the attack, it may be worth a risk to put him in, but Allardyce might as well as he's free (obviously) and has netted six goals in his 7 appearances for the U21 side. Is 'The Academy of Football' is ready to fire a gem on all on the footballing public again?
