West Ham United: 10 Managers Who Could Replace Sam Allardyce

8. Brendan Rodgers

Why He Should: Despite a disappointing season with Liverpool and a lack of trophies in his time with the Reds, Rodgers is still a good young manager with an attacking style. He gets his teams to play free-flowing, passing football of the type the Upton Park boardroom craves. His time at Swansea - and indeed finishing second with Liverpool last season - suggests that he has what it takes to do well at West Ham.

Additionally, Rodgers himself has admitted that he is under pressure at Liverpool, and would even leave if that's what the Reds' owners want. This means that he could be available, and if he is he'd be a coup for the Hammers.

Why He Shouldn't: It's still debatable whether or not Rodgers would want to come to West Ham from Liverpool. He's likely to stay with the Reds if the owners don't kick him out, and even if they did he might see the East London club as a step down from a club pushing for the top four.

His ability in the transfer market has also come under question, a number of his signings this season (and before) not having the impact that Liverpool fans had hoped. Will West Ham be willing to give him the money to invest, seeing how he used the cash he was given at Anfield?
